Plot
A legendary tale of Mahabharata, the episode is about the romance between Abhimanyu (ANR), son of Arjuna and Sasirekha (savitri), daughter of Balarama (gummadi). Since the Pandavas don't have any wealth as they lost it all in gamble, Sakuni (csr) hatches a plan to get Duryodhana's (mukkamala) son Lakshman Kumar (relangi) engaged to Sasirekha. Noticing this, Lord Krishna (NTR) enters the scene and he devises a counter plan. He takes the help of Ghatothkatch (svr), son of Bheema to thwart the plan of Sakuni. Ghatothkatch possesses many magical powers and what follows from there is a roller coaster ride of humor and magic and whether Krishna or Sakuni is successful forms the rest of the story.

It's marvelous. It's superb. It's stupendous. It's suave. It's spellbinding. It's vivacious. Its fantastic and what else? The adjectives in English dictionary may not be sufficient to express how 'Mayabazaar' is!
The film comes in topic after 53 years since it has now been brought to the audience in color. The best part is the coloration of this black and white epic and there is not an inch of doubt you would get watching it. Each and every frame has been worked meticulously and even the smallest of objects are smeared with the right quantity of color giving it the right feel. The entire pace of the movie strikes a chord with the audience and it is not just the legends on the screen but the visual appeal that has given a new life to the entire product. This is a must watch for all ages and it has already proved its mettle at the box office.
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and both the presentation and narrative were exemplary. The dialogues were mind blowing, the script was flawless, the screenplay was masterly. Background score was intoxicating while all the ten songs or more were fabulous. Cinematography was to the mark and editing was crisp. Costumes were divine and art department was out of the world. The film goes to a supreme league with remarkable performances from NTR, ANR, Gummadi and others but the real show stealers were Savitri and SVR who leave an everlasting impact on the audience. The others though in small roles made their presence felt in a big way.
