As for as i know it was produced by Rajakumar, Narasimharaju and balakrishna- may be called as actors guild.

In history of wodeyar Dynasty, there was no one with the name mummadi Ranadhira Narasaraja Wodeyar that too in 18th century !!



Kanteerava Narasa raja Wodeyar I was no doubt a very colourful and celeberated Ruler of Wodeayr and probabaly only one on whom two kannada movies area made - ranadhira and kakana kote.



Ranadhira was an appeallation to this celeberated Ruler whose exploits in war particularly over Ranadhulla khan of Bhamanai kingdom gave him lasting fame. He Ruled from Sriranagapatana between 1638-59.

One of the finest movies ever made onKannada Screen, Ranadheera Kantherava highlights the life and times of mummadi narasaraaja wodeyar, who ruled Mysore in 18'th century.



Produced by Kannada Actors Guild, This film enjoys the confluence of many Stalwarts.



Towering Performance by Dr Raj as ramadheera Kantheerava and Ashwatha as his Able Miister bring back the memories of Wodeyar Life-style.

Leelavathi is her usual-self as narasaraja Wodeyar's wife.



Deft dailagoues (Raj explaining about the sword Vijayanaarasimha) leave an imression for long time.



But, the Supreme performance surprisngly comes from kalaa kesari Udaykumar.

As a guru of Leelavathi, He steals the show in his limited screen-time.



G V Ayyar, narasimharaju and others add weight to the film.





This is a must-have along with other 3 of Dr Raj's Kings role. (Other three being Mayura and Srikrishnadevaraya and Immadi Pulakeshi)
